Amarnath yatra enters its final phase

The Amarnath yatra has entered its final phase with final prayers on August 7.

The ‘Chhari Mubarak’ carried by a group of sadhus, including its custodian, Mahant Deepindra Giri has joined the yatra at Pahalgam.

The Raksha Bandhan will mark the conclusion of 40-day yatra which began on June 29 from the twin routes.

The yatra recorded a footfall of 2, 59,042 at Holy Cave till Saturday evening. The cave is located at an altitude of 3,880 metre in the south Kashmir Himalayas.
