All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary and incharge J&K affairs Ambika Soni and Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad who reached Jammu on Friday are set to review the party’s performance in a high level meeting on Saturday. All Congress ministers, legislators, MLAs and MLCs are scheduled to attend the meeting.
A senior Congress minister who wished not to be named told a local news agency, KNS that 180 delegates including former Sadr-e-Riyasat of Jammu and Kashmir Dr Karan Singh and former president of State Congress Ghulam Rasool Kar will attend the meeting. The main agenda of the meeting is to review overall performance of Congressmen in Jammu and Kashmir and the future strategy, he said.
Meanwhile, if the sources within the party are to be believed, a number of Congress ministers and legislators will raise demand for apology from National Conference Additional General Secretary Dr Mustafa Kamal for his remarks against Congress and its leadership.
