Reiterating its old political posturing on Kashmir issue, US has said that it has no role to play in Kashmir issue.

US Secretary of State John Kerry said both India and Pakistan should resume dialogue to address their issues.

“As for Kashmir, all I would say is we continue be concerned about any violence along the line of control, and we continue to urge the governments of both India and Pakistan to reduce tensions along that line and to resume dialogue to address these issues,” Kirby told reporters at his daily news conference.

“This (Kashmir) is for the two parties to work out.”

Earlier the visiting Pak Army chief to US, General Raheel Sharif met with John Kerry at the Foggy Bottom headquarters of the State Department yesterday and raised the Kashmir issue during his meeting focused on security-related issues and Afghanistan peace talks.
