Intense clashes between youths and forces erupted at main chowk Soura, Srinagar on Wednesday resulting in injuries to more than 5 youth as forces resorted to teargas shelling.
Reports said that a group of youth assembled at the main market Soura and raised pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
A heavy contingent of forces reached the spot and fired tear smoke canisters to disperse protesters, triggering clashes in the locality.
The clashes were going-on when reports last came in.
