Thousands of the mourners on Thursday took part in last rites of two slain militants in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports said that despite complete shutdown and restrictions in the area, people from various areas reached the old town Baramulla and Khanpora to participate in the funeral prayers of three slain militants identified as Suhaib Farooq Akhoon, son of  Farooq Ahmad Akhoon, a resident of Khanpora Baramulla, Mohsin Mushtaq Bhat, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, of Qazi Hamam Baramulla, Nasir Ahmad Darzi, son of Mohammad Amin Darzi, a resident of Sangrampora Batpora Sopore, at present in Jamia Qadeem Baramulla.

Mourners despite restrictions while shouting anti-governmental and pro-freedom slogans gathered for the funerals of the trio in Khanpora and Old Town areas of Baramulla.
