A delegation led by Amir Jamat-e-Islami, Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, Saturday participated in the Nimaz e Jinazah Advocate Zahid Ali’s father in Newa village of Pulwama district.
People from all walks of life, along with Jama’at central level functionaries, district heads and secretaries, and a large number of associates participated in the funeral.
Before offering Nimaz-e-jinazah, Amir-e-Jama’at, former Ameer Sheikh Ghulam Hassan, Assistant Secretary General Jama’at (2nd) Moulana Gazi Mueen-ul-Islam Nadvi and Peer Saif-ullah (Personal Secretary to Hurriyat Chairman Syed Ali Geelani), spoke and paid tributes to the deceased and expresses sympathy with the bereaved family.
“Haji Habib-ullah Lone sahib has served on both religious and social fronts since his childhood,” said Amir-e-Jam’at.
Deceased’s son Advocate Zahid Ali, who was in police custody since August 30, was released last night, so that he could attend his father’s funeral.
