Residents reported a gun-battle at Begum Bagh, Kakpora in Pulwama district on Saturday evening.
A senior civil administration officer said they are told that a militant is killed but it needs reconfirmation. “Army and SOG is there and the belt is still in siege,” the officer said, “The operation is still going on.”
The officer said that there were reports of some stone pelting as well.
“The area had massive traffic movement from Srinagar to Shopian and Pulwama and right now we are trying to divert it,” the officer said.
