SRINAGAR: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to visit the family of DSP Humayun Muzamil in Srinagar later this evening, as part of his ongoing visit to Jammu and Kashmir.

According to media reports, Shah is scheduled to land at the Srinagar Technical Airport on Monday evening and proceed directly to meet the family of DSP Humayun. The officer was killed during a counter-terror operation in the Gadole area of Kokernag, South Kashmir, on 13 September 2023.
DSP Humayun, aged 32, was one of four officers who lost their lives in the encounter. He was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra on Independence Day 2024 for acts of bravery.
Following the visit, Shah is expected to head to Raj Bhawan.
