Adbee Markaz Kamraz Jammu and Kashmir has expressed deep shock over the death of educationist and poet Saifuddin Saifi Sopori.
In a condolence message AMK president Dr Shujaat Bukhari has said that his death is a big loss for the literary world. “We were still in grief after the death of Atiqa Behenji that Saifi Saheb has left us” he said. Besides being an eminent educationist Saifi Sopori was a versatile writer who wrote simaltanously in Urdu, Kashmiri and Persian. “Saifi Saheb had huge contribution in not only giving a new direction to education system but he also enriched the literature with his exemplary writings” Dr Bukhari said.
The AMK president said that Saifi Saheb’s death has created a vaccum which cannot be filled easily. AMK, he said mourns his loss and recalls his contribution in shaping up the lives of thousands of people through his pursuits in the field of education and literature. He conveyed condolences to the family particularly former AMK vice president Dr Rafeeq Masoodi and Showkat Shafi Masoodi Deputy Director at Kashmir University. AMK vice president Farooq Rafiabadi, general secretary Mohammad Amin Bhat, Secretary Mir Tariq and the entire executive has expressed grief over his death.
