Anti-Pakistan slogans in assembly, Question hour delayed

KL Report

SRINAGAR

Question hour was delayed in the legislative assembly as the house began on Friday. The speaker Mubarak Gul repeatedly tried to convince the members of PDP, Panthers party, BJP and other opposition parties to allow question hour to start but they remained adamant to raise different issues like invoking of ESMA, VK Singh revelations, situation in Kishtwar and Keran etc.

Speaker allowed Mehbooba Mufti, Tarigami, Jugal Kishore, Ashok Khojuria and Hakim Yaseen but not Er Rashid who in ‘protest’ went to the well of the house.

The members of Panthers party and BJP strongly raised the issue of Keran. “Pakistani army has intruded in the Indian Territory and have taken two villages in their control,” the members said. They wanted to know the present situation in the Keran sector. They raised anti- Pakistan slogans like “Pakistan hai hai” and walked out of the house.

In the meantime Speaker of the house announced that discussion about the VK Singh revelations will be permitted in the next working day.
