SRINAGAR: Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) scholarship is accepting applications for students who are aspiring to do their Masters of Science (MS) and PhD in South Korea. The last date for the application is October 15, 2023.

They offer courses in various subjects such as Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Chemistry and Biomedical Science, Life Science, Material Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics and Photon Science, Nano-Bio Materials and Electronics, Earth science and Environmental Engineering Integrated Technology, and Artificial Intelligence.

The application process is online. Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s before enrolling themselves for the scholarship. They should have a good command over the English language and an excellent academic record is needed.

The scholarship will cover the complete tuition fee for international students. MS students will receive a monthly stipend of 140,000 Won (8,832 INR) while PhD students will get a monthly stipend of 295,000 Won (18,615 INR). It will also cover 60 percent of national health insurance, including annual medical check-ups.

The required documents for the scholarship include official degrees and transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and an official language test report.
