All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) held a meeting Monday to condole the killings at Markundal village in North Kashmir.

During the meeting, Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina has said, “If Army Officers could not restrain its Jawans then there is no meaning of peaceful dialogues with Central government and continuing the peace process in J&K.”

As per a statement the APSCC has said, “People of Valley always respected the Army men but such incidents have defamed the image of Army at all levels. On one side they have build schools, organized educational tours for school children, conduct cricket tournaments and what not but such incidents again make the common men feel that he is at receiving end.  When it comes to bullet v/s peace then bullet dominates the Kashmir issue.”

APSCC in its statement has demanded tough punishment in particular time frame for the killers of Irfan Ahmad Ganai and Tahir Ahmad Laherwal, innocent resident of Bandipora. “The government should immediately send its representative to New Delhi to meet PM and Defense minister and demand for constituting (PUBLIC Commission) special groups from all societies including forces so that they can have complete investigation  in such mishap since 1989 including Konan Poshpura Rape case,” reads the statement.
