Terming the government announcement about the investigation of the civilian killings in Markundal Sumbal, as an eyewash only to save the murderers, senior Separatist leader and National Front Chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan has said that when everybody knows that Irfan Gani and Tariq Leharwal were killed by the ‘occupied forces’ then what is the need and necessity of any investigation.
During his continuous house arrest, Khan has said, “By the killings of Irfan Gani and Tariq Leharwal, Kashmiris remember Tahir Sofi of Baramulla killed early this year and all the innocents who were killed in 2008 and 2010 were massacred by the men in uniform and to save the murderers the so called government came out with deceiving announcement of so called investigations.”
As per a statement Khan has said that the Kashmiri people are well aware about such announcements and investigations which are aimed at shielding the culprits and same is now repeated in the Sumbal incident.
Khan said, “Mere government announcements about the investigations, has proved the separatist leadership stand true and the local collaborators are trying everything to save the murderers of Kashmiri innocents.”
