Srinagar

The armies of India and Pakistan exchanged heavy fire on Wednesday along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.

Reports said the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling on the LoC using small arms, automatics and mortars to target Indian positions.

The “ceasefire violation” started at 5.34 a.m., they said.

“Indian positions are retaliating effectively. Firing exchanges were going on,” reports added.
