SRINAGAR: Security forces on Wednesday recovered a cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation in the Sahgund forest area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Official sources said the operation was launched following specific inputs by a joint team comprising 45 Battalion CRPF, QAT-45, SOG Hajin, SOG Sumbal and 13 Rashtriya Rifles.
During the operation, the joint team recovered one Chinese grenade, two UBGL rounds, 60 rounds of AK-series ammunition and two AK magazines.
The recovered arms and ammunition were seized on the spot, while further investigation into the matter has been initiated, officials said. (JKNS)
