SRINAGAR: The Indian Army on Monday busted a hideout and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation in the Keran sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Officials said the operation was launched on July 6 following specific intelligence inputs about the presence of a hideout in the area.
During the search, Army personnel recovered five AK-series rifles, nine AK magazines, one hand grenade, a large quantity of ammunition and other war-like stores from the hideout, they said.
Officials added that further searches in the area are underway.
