SRINAGAR: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Dhiraj Seth on Wednesday reviewed the security situation, operational preparedness and combat readiness of troops in Kashmir, including along the Line of Control (LoC).

The Army Chief visited the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps headquarters and its formations, where senior officers briefed him about the prevailing security scenario, operational deployments and ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the region.
According to the Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADGPI) of the Indian Army, General Seth was also briefed on inter-agency coordination, emerging security challenges and arrangements put in place for the ongoing annual Amarnath Yatra.
The COAS reviewed various initiatives aimed at technology integration, capability enhancement and strengthening combat preparedness across different operational requirements, the Army said.

During his visit, General Seth interacted with troops and appreciated their professionalism, dedication and commitment while operating in challenging conditions.
He also lauded the efforts of security forces in maintaining peace and stability in Kashmir.
