Army Chief Reviews Security Situation Along LoC in Poonch, Rajouri and Sunderbani

   

SRINAGAR: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Dhiraj Seth visited forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch, Rajouri and Sunderbani sectors to review the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness of troops, the Army said on Thursday.

During the visit, the Army Chief was briefed on the evolving security environment, operational deployments, counter-insurgency grid, surveillance architecture and the overall readiness of the White Knight Corps.

General Seth also reviewed field innovations being adopted by the formations and assessed the progress of ongoing infrastructure development in forward areas.

The Army said the COAS also took stock of initiatives aimed at empowering communities living in India’s first villages along the border through people-centric measures.

Commending the troops for their professionalism, operational excellence and commitment, General Seth appreciated their dedication while operating in challenging conditions.

He urged all ranks to remain mission-focused, maintain operational agility and continue striving for excellence in safeguarding the nation’s borders.
