Army Counselling

A unit of regular army held a career counseling seminar in North Kashmir’s Pattan area, a defense statement said this evening.

“A Career counseling seminar was organised today under the aegis of Chinar Corps at Pattan by the Rashtriya Rifles unit based at Haiderbeg. The Youth of Haiderbeg and nearby areas Interacted with Army and IAS/KAS Officers to get first-hand knowledge to qualify in the national and state level competitive examinations,” the statement said.

Giving details, the statement said, “Brigadier Alok Naresh of Army and 2010 IAS topper Dr Shah Faisal interacted with unemployed youths of different villages and delivered a lecture on career counseling,” adding, “The Army and KAS/IAS officers also shared their experience and provided necessary guidance to avail government jobs in various departments.”

Over 1500 students from Pattan, Palhallan, Yadipora, Chanderhama, Wussan, Nihalpora, Goshbugh, Khanpeth, Batpora and other villages participated in the program and got enlightened by the speakers, the statement informed.

“On the occasion Brigadier Alok Naresh and Dr Shah Faisal addressed the students and presented the ‘best student trophy’ to the college which would be given for ‘all round performance of the best student’ each year,” the statement added.
