Army on Thursday resorted to aerial firing to disperse the students of a private school and local protesters in Wanpoh Islamabad on after an altercation with the school bus driver.

Reports quoting local sources said that the trouble started between army soldiers and driver of the local private educational institute, Shemford School.

They, quoting witnesses, said that soldiers thrashed the school bus driver followed by protests by the students.

As the protest intensified and locals also started raising a hue and cry against the army, they resorted to aerial firing, witnesses told a local newspaper.
