SRINAGAR: An Army Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) lost his life while on duty in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir due to a gunshot wound, official sources said on Wednesday.
Defence sources stated that the incident occurred during the course of his duty. He was immediately taken for medical treatment but did not survive.
Officials have, at this stage, ruled out any terror-related angle. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, and further details will be released as the inquiry progresses, sources added. (KNC)
