An army officer died in an avalanche at Siachen, army said Saturday evening.
“Captain Ashwini Kumar died when his patrol came under an avalanche in Siachen Glacier in the early hours of 13 Nov 15,” PRO of Srinagar based 15 Corps of Indian army said.
“The mortal remains of the officer have been sent to Patiala, his native place,” the army statement added.
