An army man was critically injured on Monday evening after India and Pakistan troops exchanged fire and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector in the northern part of Kashmir.

“An army soldier received a sniffer shot in his head and has been airlifted to army’s 92 base hospital Badamibagh, Srinagar for treatment,” they said.

An official identified the injured as Narendra Singh Bisht (43) and is being treated upon in the military hospital where his condition continues to remain critical.
