SRINAGAR: An army man was killed in Lolab area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday afternoon, official sources said.
Quoting official sources news agency GNS reported that the killed soldier was part of a Road Opening Party (ROP) at Lassipora General Road.
While officials ruled out it as a militant attack, they said the confirmation was awaited if it was case of fratricidal killing or there were some other reasons for the death. However, they said, there were few shots heard.
