Army Tuesday claimed to recover a cache of arms and ammunition from a militant hideout in restive Sopore in north Kashmir.
Acting on a tip-off, the army official said, 27 RR army along special operation group (SOG) launched a search operation in Sagipora (Bomai) forests and “busted a militant hideout” and “recovered a cache” of arms and ammunition, including 06 AK Rifles, 50 AK-Magazine, 756 AK rounds, 08 Detonators, 03 Pistols, 01 Pistol Magazine, 19 Pistol rounds, 30 Grenades (40mm), 03 UBGL, 13 lED Big, 20 lED small, 11 Grenades(90mm), 13 Chinese grenades, 4.5kgs Gunpowder and 07 mtrs Safety fuse.
Sopore police has registered a case FIR No. 29/2015 in police station Bomai and investigation has been taken up.
