MLA Langate Engineer Rashid Tuesday said the basic developmental indexes in Pakistan-administered-Kashmir despite harsh topography are much better to the Indian-administered Kashmir.
“Be it better road connectivity, health care facilities, electricity or education, it is presenting a much brighter picture as opposed to this part,” he said.
He said a resident of Karnah, Teetwal or URI gets a clear idea from his hut how affluent other part is by seeing eminent presence of better roads and electricity in other part of Kashmir.
“It is a known fact that thousands of citizens of Pakistan-administered-Kashmir are shinning on the global radar as an effective Diaspora serving at influential posts especially in well developed European country, whereas in this part of Jammu & Kashmir, many dreams have been crashed by not giving many youth their passports.”
Er Rashid further remarked that Pakistan-administered-Kashmir has also witnessed flourishing of its own political autonomy in form of its own Prime Minister, Flag, parliamentary system and other powers “while as this side of Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed onslaught on its autonomy and special status ever since 1947”.
“Government of Jammu and Kashmir should constitute a high power delegation that will visit the other side of Line of Control and draw inputs from their way of development so that this part can also see fruits of development and governance,” he said.
Rashid stated that while this part has witnessed tremendous “suffocation and oppression”, on the other side, he said, “we have not even witnessed any signs of minor or major revolt or even a single day of strike.”
Mr Rashid so called Azad Kashmir of POK is only the eight districts of Sunni dominated part of POK while as you are not talking about the Shia dominated Gigit Baltistan which is part of erstwhile J&K State.
