The Indian Army has foiled an infiltration bid by Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Keran sector.

Pakistan’s BAT tried to infiltrate 7 to 8 armed intruders around 1 pm in Kupwara district today and attacked an Indian post there.

No casualty has been reported so far. The Indian Army retaliated with full force and thwarted the infiltration attempt, forcing the intruders to retreat.

The BAT’s infiltration bid was supported by mortal shelling and firing of small arms from nearby Pakistan posts.

Exchange of firing from both sides of the border is underway.

Earlier, Tuesday morning, army claimed to have foiled an infiltration bid in Uri sector of Baramulla district with the killing of one militant.
