As the legislative assembly continues to run till late hours, Deputy Speaker Nazir Gurezi Monday directed the government to arrange dinner for the assembly members.

“It looks like the house will run till 11 in night so I request government to arrange dinner for the members,” Gurezi directed the government, “Parliamentary affairs minister should look for it.”

As the house is running in two sittings, earlier days witnessed house proceedings till late night.

On Friday the house ran for more than 10 hours.

Today the house is discussing two grants, R&B and parliamentary affairs departments will be discussed in first sitting while in second sitting, grants to PHE, irrigation & Flood control departments will be discussed.

“There are more than 30 speakers in first sitting only,” Gurezi informed the house, “So you can imagine when the second sitting will start.”

On Saturday as well opposition remained absent in the second sitting, after speaker rejected proposal to hold only one sitting.

Members from opposition and ruling parties had opposed the two sitting proceedings and requested government to extend session.
