SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Police apprehended two individuals on Monday in connection with the stabbing of a young person in Srinagar.
The accused have been identified as Umer Fayaz, a resident of Ikhrajpora, and Imran Mushtaq Wani, from Jawahar Nagar, who reportedly carried out the attack on October 14 in Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar.
The suspects are now in custody, and the weapon used in the incident has been recovered, according to law enforcement officials.

“In relation to FIR no. 45/2023 from Rajbagh Police Station, two individuals, Umar Fayaz Sheikh, son of Fayaz Sheikh from Ikhraj Pora, and Imran Mushtaq Wani, son of Mushtaq Wani from Jawahar Nagar, were detained for the assault on a young person in Jawahar Nagar on October 14, 2023. The offensive weapon was also retrieved,” reported the Srinagar police on X.
