SRINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has affirmed that Article 370 has ceased to exist permanently, granting the people of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh the unprecedented autonomy to shape their destinies independently. In an interview with India Today, the Prime Minister emphasised his unwavering commitment to prioritizing the nation in all his roles as a BJP worker, Chief Minister, and Prime Minister.

Discussing the government’s approach to Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, he highlighted a comprehensive strategy aimed at ensuring sustainable peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.

Responding to a question on the Supreme Court judgment on Article 370, he reiterated, “With Article 370 gone forever, the people of J-K and Ladakh, for the first time, are free to shape their destinies with their own hands.”

Elaborating on the multifaceted approach, the Prime Minister outlined a focus on security, development, infrastructure investment, and human capital. He underscored a thorough overhaul of government processes through reforms, with the ultimate goal of enhancing living standards, promoting economic growth, and creating employment opportunities for the people of the region.
