Members of Performing Artist and Film Maker’s Fraternity of Kashmir on Monday held a protest demonstration in Press enclave Srinagar against the ‘attempts to scrap’ article 35-A.

The protesting artists said that being a part of the civil society, they cannot be the mute spectators to such ‘mischievous designs’. The artists also pledged support to the struggle launched to safeguard the special status of the state.

Ayash Arif, an artist while expressing his concerns saying, “Kashmiri’s distinct cultural identity is linked to its constitutional special status and any encroachment or tempering with the same will amount to the loss of our identity.”

The members have also appealed the people across the globe to extend their support for Kashmir’s in this struggle.
