ARTO Budgam Issues 15-Day Traffic Diversion Plan

   

SRINAGAR: The Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Budgam has issued a 15-day traffic diversion plan due to ongoing restoration work on the damaged expansion joints of Bemina Bridge.

The diversion, which will be in effect from October 25, 2024, aims to alleviate congestion and ensure safety on the Budgam to Baramulla-Jammu NH-44 route.

The notice issued by the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Budgam reads, “As per the communication received from the Deputy Commissioner Budgam, all transporters in the district are hereby informed that there will be a ‘Traffic Diversion’ for a period of 15 days, effective from 25.10.2024, on the existing Budgam to Baramulla-Jammu NH-44 route to an alternative route as per the plan devised by the concerned authorities.”

It further adds that all concerned transporters in District Budgam must follow the devised alternative route plan in letter and spirit. The alternative route plan is as follows: “Budgam to Ansari Toyota via Hamdaniya Colony, Durbal, Sharifabad; Budgam to Tengpora Bridge via Bemina Budgam Road, Khomani Chowk, Narkara, Gangabugh.”
