Scores of civilians were injured in Hassanpora, Arwani area of Islamabad district in clashes between forces and protesters.
An encounter is going on in the Bijbehara area of Islamabad district since yesterday evening.
Reports said that hundreds of people started demonstrating in order to help the holed up militants escape since morning and they were intercepted by forces at many places.
“People in large numbers tried to storm the same residential house in which militants were holed up,” local sources said adding “forces used force to disperse them resulting in injuries to dozens of people.”
Thirty among the injured have been hit by pellets, reports quoting witnesses said.
