Following intense clashes between civilian protesters and forces in Arwani village in Kulgam after forces launched search and cordon operation, several civilians have been reported injured.
Locals said that after joint forces launched cordon and search operation, local youth in large number started stone pelting on the forces. The forces retaliated with firing teargas, pellets and even bullets, they said.
Locals said that several people have received pellet injuries.
According to the sources, one youth hit by bullet and two hit by pellets have been admitted in district hospital Islamabad. The bullet has hit youth, as per sources, in knee and is being operated upon. The doctors termed his condition as out of danger.
