SRINAGAR: Director School Education Kashmir, GN Itoo, on Saturday said the department is examining the ASER 2025 survey findings, and a roadmap is being prepared, while a team has been constituted to address infrastructural and learning gaps.
Talking to media persons in Srinagar, Director School Education Kashmir, G.N. Itoo, said the department is analysing the ASER survey and has formed a team to address gaps.
On the recent ASER 2025 survey, which highlighted a grim picture of schools in terms of infrastructural deficiencies and learning outcomes, Itoo said, “We are examining it, and DSEK has constituted a team. A meeting was also held at the administrative level, and JKBOSE, SCERT, and the Directorate were directed to come up with a roadmap addressing infrastructural gaps and capacity building of teachers.
“Teams are on it, and we are confident that we will submit a comprehensive roadmap to the government. The government is also serious about it.”
“However, I can also say there are positive aspects in the survey. We have been performing well at certain levels compared to the national average.
“Nevertheless, where we are lagging, we have collaborated with Kashmir University, SCERT, JKBOSE, and NGOs, as they have expertise in learning outcomes.
“With their support, we will develop a roadmap, submit it to the government, and ensure strict implementation,” Itoo said. (JKNS)
