Assadullah Afaqi’s Rupwan Released

SRINAGAR: Chrare-e-Sharief based Life Foundation formally released Rupwan,  a poetic collection of Assadullah Afaqi on his eighth death anniversary. The Foundation, a private grouping of a local school that Afaqi had founded, observers November 8, as Afaqi Day.

On the eighth death anniversary of Sheikh-ul-Alam scholar, Assadullah Afaqi, his poetic collections were relaesed in Chrar-e-Sharief on November 8, 2021

Afaqi was the author of one of the best books written about Sheikh ul Aalam, Sheikh Nooruddin, Kashir’s standrd bearer siant.

The book release function was attended by Professors Farooq Fayaz, GN Khaki, Zaman Azurda, Bashar Bashir, Shaad Ramzan, besides, Muhammad Amin Bhat, Ali Muhammad Ehsan, Bilal Ahmed Pampoori, Dr Gazanfar Ali, Dr Aijaz Ashraf, Mr GN War, Dr Javid Ahmed Wani, GN Adfar amongst others.

The foundation confered Afaqi Award-2021 upon GN Adfar for his life time achievements and contributions to Sheikh ul Alam (RA) studies.

The day commenced with the recitation of the verses of holy Quran by Life School students who later paid tributes to Assadullah Afaqi and made presentations on different sayings of Sheikh ul Alam in presence of an august gathering.

The best presenters were felicitated by the distinguished guests and presented momentos in presence of Nazrul Islam, Afaqi’s son, who haeds the Foundation.

Afaqi, a resident Charai Sharief has presided over the Sheikh ul Alam Chair at the University of Kashmir.
