Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday apologized for the ‘lynching’ remark of her cabinet colleague Imran Raza Ansari.

Chief Minister, who was present in the lower house said that Imran’s remark, for a moment, had taken her aback.

However, she said: “I don’t think Imran meant to say what he said.”

She said that this should not have happened. “I apologise for the remarks.”

Ansari on Tuesday had told Rana: “I can lynch you here. I know your shaddy businesses.”

Rana later thanked CM Mehbooba for her “gratefulness”.
