Further, the CM added her government will give 50% discount on sale of Scooties for college going girls. “This will make them independent,” she said, “but helmet is a must in this case.”

The PDP-BJP government is also planning to replace the traditional hearths in Tribal community with smoke-free Wooden Stoves.

“The smoke emanating from traditional Choolas affect the health of tribal women,” she told the house, “we are introducing Wooden Stoves which are smoke free and will be eco-friendly as well.”

The CM also said that Commission will be constituted which will enquire as whose hotels and houses have come up in tourist destination Sonamarg.

On the issue of recruitments, the CM rued the problem government faces because of court orders.

“When we reach a level to finally induct new employees, people go and get stay orders from courts which is cumbersome and takes much time,” she added.

Asserting that her government will not allow concretisation of Tosmaidan, the CM said that her government is boosting the local economy. “We are developing a model Kotha; we are helping these locals to give facility of restaurants and night stay in the Kothas itself,” she said.
