Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday informed the Lowe House of J&K Legislature that the issues concerning Kashmiri youth being trained under Udaan have been “sorted out”.

Leader of Opposition, Omar Abdullah, on Saturday had told the assembly that he was getting several calls since last Friday-Saturday mid-night from some Kashmiri youth from outside state who were facing some security issues.

He had provided details of youth along with cell numbers to Speaker Kavinder Gupta.

PDP Minister, Ab Haq Khan, while responding to the concern, said, “two youth named Bilal Ahmad and Showkat Ahmad are being trained by ‘MBD Private Limited’ through Udaan.”

He said that Kashmir Police chief got in touch with warden of the hostel where the duo is staying in Greater Noida in Union Capital.

Quoting Sachin Verma, Warden of the hostel, Khan said, “there was verbal dual over some petty issue at Iftaar a few days ago between Kashmiri and non-Kashmiri candidates.” “However, the issue has been sorted out to the satisfaction of both the parties,” Khan claimed, “our Kashmiri candidates are normally attending their classes.”

Meanwhile, J&K Government has invited over a dozen school students to the lower house of the legislature.

While welcoming the students to the house, Speaker Kavinder Gupta said that the experience of watching proceedings of the house will help the students in their career.
