As soon as the business resumed on Friday in lower house of the J&K Legislature, Opposition members stood up and disrupted the proceedings
The Opposition lawmakers led by Congress demanded revocation of SRO 105.
“RSS Sarkar, Hai Hai,” thus began the sloganeering of the Opposition members.
“Loot Mar Sarkar, Communal Sarkar, SRO Sarkar,” the opposition members raised the slogans.
SRO 105 related to mining in Jammu and Kashmir and due to this order, non-state subjects have been made eligible in the tendering process.
Congress members walked into the Well. Independents including Er Rasheed and Hakeem Yaseen have joined the protesting lawmakers.
The Opposition members also demanded revocation of an order which has made District Magistrates devoid of certain powers. The opposition lawmakers said that the order has been passed when J&K was under Governor’s rule.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister, A R Veeri while replying to the demands said that government will look into the matter.
Responding to demand of revocation of SRO 105, Minister for Industries, Chandra Prakash told the house that the matter is pending in Supreme Court.
