The Vigilance Organization Jammu Friday caught Assistant Professor in Jammu red handed while accepting bribe of Rs 5000.
According to details, the siege was laid upon the receipt of a complaint in Vigilance Organization, Jammu, alleging therein that Ashu Jolly, Assistant Professor, College of education, Canal Road, Jammu has demanded Rs. 10,000 in two installments of Rs. 5000 each as illegal gratification from the complainant for approving M. Ed Synopsis.
“The complainant has further averred that today she is going to pay Rs. 5000 to said Assistant Professor under compelling circumstances. The accused Ashu Jolly, Assistant Professor, College of Education, Canal Road, Jammu was caught red handed while demanding/accepting a bribe of Rs. 5000 from the complainant in presence of independent witnesses.”
The vigilance accordingly a case FIR No. 25/2016 has been registered under relevant sections of law in P/S VOJ against the accused person and further investigation is going on.
