The Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday handed over a purse containing Rs. 1,22,960 and other valuable items to a passenger at Srinagar Airport.
The passenger namely Rekha Gupta women of Subash Chander resident 206, Shashtri Nagar, Jammu, carrying an old lady with her informed the police that she has lost her purse.
However, both the lady and purse was traced after hectic efforts by Anti-hijacking Police as she had forgotten that whether she has lost the purse at Airport or elsewhere.
Later the purse containing 1,22,960 rupees and other valuable items was handed over to Rekha Gupta.
In this regard, an awareness campaign has been launched at Jammu Airport wherein passengers are being reminded to take care of their valuables and not to leave them either in the aircraft/check-in-counters or X-ray points.
