Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education, Attal Dulloo today held a meeting here to discuss the modalities for the operationalization of Medi-cities and Health Care Investment policy.

The meeting was attended by Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, Director Health Jammu, Dr Renu Sharma, Director New Medical College, Dr Yashpal Sharma, MD SIDCO, Ravinder Kumar, Joint Director Planning, Madan Lal and other concerned officers.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan along with other concerned participated in the meeting through video conferencing.

The Financial Commissioner directed the officers to speed up their efforts to operationalize the guidelines for the approval and finalization of the prestigious projects. He directed the officer to work in tandem so that land is transferred to the Health Department for the establishment of the twin Medi-cities.

Div Com Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan informed the meeting that he has written to the concerned Deputy Commissioner to authenticate the land with proper coordinates for the project.

Meanwhile, the meeting also discussed the availability of land for promoting medical tourism in Jammu and Kashmir for which proper locations shall be identified at both the divisions.

Requirements for health care investments in terms of the operational things were also discussed. The meeting was informed that land will be made available by SIDCO as per health care guidelines. It was given out that once the transfer of land is done, potential investors will be invited and feedback will be taken from them.
