SRINAGAR: In a contest held at the Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar, Athwas India XI FC overcame a first-half deficit to defeat United Elegant FC 2–1 in a gripping encounter of the Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League 2025. The match, powered by Athwas Hyundai and supported by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, lived up to its billing as one of the most thrilling fixtures of the tournament so far.

United Elegant FC took early control of the match, dominating possession and successfully converting a goal before half-time. However, the second half witnessed a dramatic turnaround as Athwas India XI FC returned with renewed vigour, launching a counteroffensive that culminated in two well-crafted goals to secure the win.
Sheikh Shakir of Athwas India XI FC was awarded the Khyber Cement Man of the Match for his commanding performance in the midfield, dictating the tempo and anchoring the team’s comeback. Basit Ali was recognised as the Game Changer of the Match for his incisive attacking runs and crucial contribution in turning the tide. Goalkeeper Aftab earned the Golden Save Award for his crucial late saves that preserved the lead in the dying minutes.
