Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front on Thursday said that Indian “oppression” against Kashmiris is crossing its limits.

In a statement issued on Thursday, JKLF spokesperson said that prolonging incarceration of young boys and beating people without discrimination are glaring examples of “state sponsored terrorism”.

Citing the examples of five inmates who are languishing in “illegal” custody for many years, the JKLF spokesperson said that Waseem Ahmad Sofi of Koundbal Ganaderbal who is a peaceful political activist was arrested in 2016 and till date has been slapped with three PSA’s.

“Similarly Basharat Ahmad Najar, Ashiq Hussain Bhat, Reyaz Ahmad Dar and Manzoor Ahmad Najar of Budgam who were granted bail by a court recently after four years have been re-arrested and are languishing in police custody illegally.”

Strongly condemning the SOG and army assault on a whole village at Hafshrimal Shupian in which hundreds of civilians including young girls and women were beaten to pulp by forces, JKLF said that  India has actually declared a war against common Kashmiris and whosoever is coming their way is being oppressed and suppressed by military might.

“More than two dozen people have sustained pellet injuries in this small village and many innocent youth have been arrested which speaks volumes about the tyrannical behavior of Indian forces.”
