Hundreds of protesters Wednesday afternoon gathered outside Bhaderwah police station and demanded that an FIR be registered against allegedly right-wing activists who attacked independent legislator Er Rashid.
Rashid and his PRO sustained injuries after activists of BJP, RSS and VHP pelted rocks at his cavalcade outside the Bhaderwah town around 1 PM earlier today.
The protesters were shouting slogans against the BJP, RSS and VHP while demanding that a case be registered against the attackers.
“These attackers which are a threat to free society should be booked under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA),” protesters demanded.
They said that they are holding consultations with the police administration and want to ensure that the attackers are immediately arrested.
