Srinagar
Police on Friday arrested JKLF Chairman Yasin Malik from his residence in Srinagar.
Reports said that a police party raided the Maisuma residence of Malik and arrested him.
Meanwhile, authorities have placed Hurriyat (m) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest ahead of congregational prayers.
Mirwaiz along with Syed Ali Geelani and Muhammad Yasin Malik have called for protests after prayers against the mysterious braid chopping incidents in the valley.
The octogenarian Geelani is undergoing house detention since 2010.
