The annual Amarnath yatra remained suspended for the third consecutive day today due to landslides and shooting stones on Jammu Srinagar road.
An official said that Due to the bad weather and shooting stones on Jammu to Kashmir route the Yatra has been suspended. No Yatri was allowed to move from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas Jammu towards the cave shrine in Kashmir due to landslides.
Earlier, three pilgrims were killed and many sustained injuries including locals after a landslide hit a car parking in Baltal route. The yatra on both the routes from Pahlgam and Baltal also remained suspended on the third consecutive day.
