SRINAGAR: On Monday, an AK series automatic weapon was discovered in a riverbed in Surankote, located in the Poonch district.
Officials said that while some individuals were working in the river at Dundak in the Surankote subdivision of Poonch, they stumbled upon a rusted AK series assault weapon.
Following this discovery, they promptly notified the police.
A team of local police officers rushed to the scene without delay, according to reports.
Officials stated that the rusted weapon has been taken into police possession.
They further mentioned that the rusty weapon is currently undergoing examination to determine its origin and any potential connections. (KNO)
