SRINAGAR: Authorities on Saturday issued a low danger level avalanche warning for eight districts of Jammu and Kashmir, advising people living in respective areas to avoid venturing into the avalanche-prone areas.
Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) in a fresh advisory said, “Avalanche with low danger level is likely to occur above 2200 meters over Bandipora, Baramulla, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch and Ramban districts in next 24 hours”.
People living in these areas are advised to take precautions and avoid venturing out into avalanche prone areas, JKDMA added.
The JKDMA said the people should dial 112 for any help.
